Working trip of RK Prime Minister to Almaty region

Taldykorgan, February 14, 2009, Khabar - The Prime Minister of the country Karim Massimov has conducted a working trip to the Almaty region. In Taldykorgan the Prime Minister Karim Massimov participated in the opening ceremony of the Palace of Languages, which is second to none in Kazakhstan. At this palace people are being taught the Kazakh, Russian and English languages. It has conference halls, language laboratories and multimedia rooms, equipped with modern facilities. The construction of the building was invested by the state treasury. The Palace of Languages is situated near the Palace of Friendship, which accommodates ethnic and cultural communities of the region. The region accommodates over 100 nationalities and in the Palace of Friendship the youth can learn both the Kazakh language and the mother tongue, as well as become familiar with the culture and traditions of different nations.

- We are lucky to live in the country, where every nation has a possibility to implement their ideas and plans and we were lucky to have Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev as a state leader.

Asiya Akhmetova, chairman, Regional Uyghur ethno-cultural centre:
- In Kazakhstan representatives of different nationalities have a possibility to learn their mother tongue. The country has special laboratories equipped with modern facilities, the Palace of Languages, which was made according to the new project and we believe that everything will serve both to the development of the state language and languages of all nations, which accommodates the Zhetysu residential area.

The head of the government also visited the Palace of Sport, which is currently being constructed. This amazing building is constructed in accordance with the world standards and should become one of the largest sport complexes in the country, where it is planned to conduct both national and international tournaments.
