Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister Calls for respecting Saudi Visa Regulations


Cairo, February 14, 2010 SPA -- Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for
consular affairs Ambassador Mohammed Abdulhakam has reiterated the importance
of following strictly the Saudi family visa regulations for Egyptian nationals.

In a statement carried by the Egyptian news agency "MENA," Abdulhakam said that
over-stayers in Saudi Arabia after the expiration of the validity date of their
visas would come under "offenders" category and receive financial and prison
penalties as well as subjected to deportation of the person who had applied for
the visa.


He pointed out that the practice of work by the spouses or children, will also
be subjected to financial fine ranging from SR 1000 to SR 3000 in addition to
deportation of the offender.
