An Italian, Iranian among those killed in Pune blast

Pune, Feb 14 (PTI) An Italian women and an Iranian
student were among the nine persons killed in the blast in the
German Bakery in India's western city of Pune.
All the nine persons killed have been identified, City
Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh said, adding 60 people were
injured in the blast at the bakery located at the posh
Koregaon park area on Saturday.
The deceased foreigners were Nadia Macerini from Italy
and Syed Abdul Khari, an Iranian who was a student at the
Symbiosis Institute here, Singh said.
The other deceased have been identified as a
brother-sister duo-- Ankit and Aanandi Dhar from Kolkata, T
Sundari (Bangalore), Vinita Gadani (Mumbai), Shilpa Goenka
(Kolkata), Shankar Pansary (Pune) and Gokul Nepali-- a waiter
at the bakery.
Among the 60 injured, 46 are male and the rest females.
Among the twelve injured foreigners, five are from Iran,
two Sudanese, two Nepalese, one each are from Yemen, Taiwan
and Germany, Singh told reporters at a press conference here.
So far 19 injured have been discharged and 41 are still
in the hospital, he said, adding no one has been detained or
arrested in the case so far. PTI
