Astana: Triumph of Kazakhstan and its leader
Astana, 24 June 2008, Khabar – Kanat Saudabayev, Secretary of State of RK: - The milestone decision to move the capital to Astana has an imperishable value for the entire country and for its future.
One can see with a particular clarity the
birth of the remarkable city in the vast Kazakh steppe and the powerful growth and
renovation of the country.
Astana is the gem of Eurasia and is rightly associated with Nursultan Nazarbayev and
a new Kazakhstan. As the conference participants concluded, Astana is truly a
triumph of Kazakhstan and its president.

A conference entitled “Astana: Triumph of Kazakhstan and its Leader� has gathered
state and public leaders, political scientists and researchers from 16 countries.
Experts attending the meting said Nursultan Nazarbayev had made a success of his
grand idea as the voice of Astana is now being more clearly heard all across the
world.
Despite its young age, this city has become the paramount political and
cultural centre of the country and is confidently turning into one of the most
respected capitals in the world. According to conference participants, it is also
one of the biggest urbanisation projects which shows the independent Kazakhstan’s
huge potential. The capital city has become a powerful catalyst and driver for the
country’s social and economic development and its residents are proud of the
achievements which Kazakhstan and its leader have gained.
