Astana, 28 June 2008, Khabar - How to survive a food crisis, decrease
unemployment and solve the issues of illegal migration were all amongst questions which topped the discussion at a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Club, in Astana, established on the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan.

The foundation unites famous economists and leading scientist
from 11 countries with all of them having the common task of exchanging
ideas and experience and the assisting economic and social progress of worldsociety.

Meanwhile, the main direction in the work of Eurasia's leading
economists is to develop innovation technologies, to strengthen the customs
union and to develop transport and energy sphere as well as foodstuff
security.

At the first meeting, the forum participants approved the cast of
the observatory council of the Eurasian Club of Scientists and its chairman.

As a result, the director of the Russian Institute of Market Studies of the
Russian Academy of Sciences, PhD in Economics, Professor Nikolai Petrakov
was elected head of the organisation.

An international forum entitled "Modern aspects of economic development at
times of globalisation" is also set to open as part of the Club's sessions
to involve scientists from over 40 countries.

Nikolai Petrakov, chairman, observing council of Eurasian Scientists' Club:
- The creation of such a club is a very important event which has no similar
projects around the world. I think it is all about the integration of
Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries as only in this case we will be able
to achieve long-lasting and stable cooperation between the states to fight
