Astana, April 06, 2010 (Khabar) - Nursultan Nazarbayev has received the chairman of the board of the national “KazAgro” holding company. Asylzhan Mamytbekov informed the president about the results of work in 2009 and near-term plans. The head of state set a number of priority tasks for the holding company. These are related to the stabilisation of the agricultural food market, a reduction in import-dependence, and an increase in labour productivity for the agricultural industry. The director of the presidential culture centre had a meeting with Nursultan Nazarbayev as well. Myrzatai Zholdasbekov presented the first 14 volumes of a new collection of books on the history of present-day Kazakhstan to the president. Kazakhstan was ranked first in the world concerning its educational development index. This was reported by Zhanseit Tuimebayev to the president. The Minister for education and science also mentioned that Kazakhstan became the first Central Asian country to join the Bologna Process. The first congress of teachers and instructors from CIS countries will be held at the end of April in Astana. Also, a Turkish academy which Nursultan Nazarbayev suggested creating at the last summit of heads of Turkic states will open this May in Kazakhstan.
