RK president presents regions' heads with jubilee medals

Astana, 5 July 2008, Khabar - Nursultan Nazarbayev has received the heads of all 14 regions at his Ak Orda, residence, thanked them for their contribution to the development of Astana and presented them with state awards dedicated to its jubilee.

Every region of Kazakhstan has prepared presents for the jubilee and opening the meeting the president noted that he
had acquainted himself with almost all of the units, which had appeared due
to the forces of the regions.

Nursultan Nazarbayev, President, RK:
- Parks and fountains, which you have made, have decorated the city but the
most important thing that you have shown is the connection of all Kazakhstan
residents with Astana affairs. In a very short time we have constructed this
city and all Kazakhstan residents have participated in this construction.
Energetic people understood that due to labour they can attain anything and
now, looking to Astana, I know that the regions have changed to. According
to our agreement we are to equip, with modern amenities, other cities, to
make Kazakhstan the best of the best with Astana the stimulus for
everything.

Heads of all 14 regions having received the medals had the head of the
capital Imangali Tasmagambetov, on their behalf make a presentation to the
president noting that the role of Nursultan Nazarbayev in the formation of
Astana was invaluable. Others have noted that today the entire world is
charmed by Astana and that, most of all, is down to the president. (Khabar
