London hosts "Kazakhstan: new horizons of growth" forum

London, 5 July 2008, Khabar - London has hosted a forum entitled
"Kazakhstan: new horizons of growth" with over 500 representatives of
business circles from both Great Britain and Kazakhstan having discussed issues regarding the development of bilateral ties between the two states.

At the forum's opening ceremony, Kazakhstan's ambassador to Great Britain,
Kairat Abuseitov told the people present meeting about the celebrations
devoted to Astana's 10th anniversary with photos presented at an exhibition
"Astana-10 years", demonstrating the dynamics of development of the new
capital city of Kazakhstan.

The forum participants gave their high
evaluation of the strategic course chosen by President Nursultan Nazarbayev
aimed at the formation of a both economically and politically competitive
Kazakhstan. They also added that the Republic was becoming a real point of
growth in Central Asia which is why British business is not only interested
in investment for existing projects.

Britain's companies are to also invest
in the education, agriculture and high technology spheres. At a special
session devoted to Kazakhstan's accession to the World Trade Organisation,
the sides signed a memorandum of mutual understanding between the Centre for
Trade Policy Development of the Ministry for Industry and Trade of
Kazakhstan and Cambridge University. (Khabar Agency)
