PRESIDENT OPENS 2010 ASIA PACIFIC MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE

Jakarta, April 15 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono opened the 2010 Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Public Private Partnership (PPP) for Infrastructure Development.

The opening ceremony was held at the Arena Hall D1 Kemayoran Fair Ground, Jakarta, Thursday, at 9 am.

The latest Public Private Partnership Ministerial conference was held in Seoul, South Korea in 2008 to discuss infrastructure development and construction in the Asia Pacific region.

ESCAP resolution No. 64/4 and the Seoul Declaration on Public Private Partnership that recommended Asia Pacific countries to cooperate in infrastructure development and construction in the region was produced in the Seoul discussion.

The cooperation would be outlined in the Jakarta Declaration that will be produced in the Ministerial Conference on public-private partnership for infrastructure development held in Jakarta in 2010.
