Army guard dies in suspected
SEOUL, April 16 (Yonhap) -- A South Korean Army guard has died at a frontline outpost in a suspected suicide, an official said Friday.
The 19-year-old private first class was found with a gunshot wound to the chest
at a guard post in the border region of Cheorwon on Wednesday morning and died
three hours later at a hospital, the official said.
An initial investigation has found that the rifle he was carrying was fired,
leading to suspicions that he might have killed himself. An investigation is
under way to determine the exact cause, the official said.
