DIAMOND-STUDDED DRESS, SINGER SITI NURHALIZA'S WEDDING GOWN AMONG ATTRACTIONS AT EXHIBITION

KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 (Bernama) -- A diamond-studded dress worth RM400,000 (US$124,672) as well as Siti Nurhaliza's wedding gown and gowns and jewelery worn by celebrities are among the attractions awaiting visitors to the "Pesona Mutiara Rafflesia" exhibition at the National Museum starting April 15 till May 16.

The diamond-studded dress by fashion designer Khoon Hooi, is belongs to the
founder of Jewellery Circles Sdn Bhd, Winnie Sin.

Jewellery Circle Sdn Bhd is the co-organiser of the exhibition.

Its managing director, Sin Cheang Loong, who is Sin's husband, said the idea
for the exhibition came about when they were designing the jewellery for Siti
Nurhaliza's wedding gown.

"We then proposed it to the National Museum to collaborate in this special
exhibition," he told a media conference here Thursday.


Apart from the gowns, the wedding rings of Siti Nurhaliza and Erra Fazira
would also be displayed, together with Ning Baizura's wedding necklace and
pendant, Jimmy Choo's pearl brooch and pearl-studded shoes belonging to
Winnie Sin and supermodel Amber Chia.

The exhibition is open from 9am to 6pm daily with an entrance fee of RM2 for
visitors above 12 years.
