Astana celebrates its first anniversary

Astana, 7 July 2008, Khabar - City of new epoch, city of realized hopes, this is said about new capital of Kazakhstan. All the residents and guests of Astana are outdoors and celebrate the birthday of capital.

The atmosphere in center and in parks is festive and bright. The jubilee united the residents of all regions of Kazakhstan. Thousands of people arrived to capital and performed their concerts. Craftsmen also present their best works at the international fair. Ablaikhan Ryspayev paints on ceramics, he is from Turkestan.

- The main here is mastership, and it doesn't come at once. We become
skillful gradually, for example, jar is done gradually and clay must be soft and obedient.

And people who gathered in park, congratulated our capital on birthday.

- I am glad with living in Kazakhstan and with large number of compatriots.
I am thankful to our President Nursultan Abishevich for not dividing the nations, many thanks for his leadership.

- I congratulate Astana on 10th anniversary and our President on his
birthday. I wish him and our people health and prosperity, calm sky. Astana is capital of our republic, our heart. It bloomed during these 10 years.

Fair and concerts were continued till late night. People watched the festive concerts, competitions of hunters with golden eagles. Foreign and national singers performed for Astana. (Khabar Agency)
