SEOUL, April 25 (Yonhap) -- South Korean companies will try to secure US$21.41
million worth of export orders at Europe's largest seafood event planned for this
week in Brussels, the government said Sunday.
The Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said 10 companies will
attend the European Seafood Exposition 2010 to highlight locally produced fresh,
canned and ready-made products and hold tasting events.
Local companies such as Dongwon F&B Co., Hosan Co., Namkwang Food Co. and Jeju
Flounder Co. will display 24 products, including fresh tuna fillets, flounder,
seasoned mackerel, dried laver and short-necked clams.
The three-day seafood show, which will begin Tuesday at the Brussels Exhibition
Center, will bring together buyers and sellers from some 140 countries in North
America, Europe and Asia.
