CA accorded red carpet reception at KL airport
Kuala Lumpur, July 8 (BSS)- Chief Adviser of Bangladesh caretaker government Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed was accorded a red carpet reception when he arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport to attend the 6th D-8 Summit, at local time 4.15 pm.
Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Abdur Rahim Bakri, Bangladesh Foreign Adviser Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury and High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia M Khairuzzaman receivedthe Chief Adviser at the airport.
A tiny tot of Malaysia presented a bouquet to the ChiefAdviser, who is leading the Bangladesh delegation.
From the airport, Dr Fakhruddin drove in a ceremonial motorcade to his hotel where he will be staying during theSummit.
Earlier,the Chief Adviser exchanged pleasantries with thepassengers on board and asked about their wellbeing.
The Chief Adviser is expected to return home tomorrow night.
