Serang, Banten province, Indonesia, May 2 (ANTARA) - Banten governor, Ratu Atut Chosiyah has asked many parties including education affairs offices and businessmen in her province to increase the number of community reading parks or TBM in shopping locations.

"I hope the TBM is not only established in a location of this shopping mall. Next time the (reading parks) should be built at eight districts/cities in Banten," the governor said after inaugurating a community reading park at a shopping center here on Sunday.

The female governor asked the local education offices to make a coordination with the related parties especially the shopping centers in a bid to open more TBM@Mal programs in various shopping places in the region.

The governor made the request relating to the national education day commemoration on May 2. Banten province shares border with Jakarta.

In the meantime, PT Carrefour Corporate Director, Irawan D Kadarman said on the occasion that his company had fully supported the TBM@MAL by preparing about 3x5 meter-location for TBM@Mal programs, as part of the company's social responsibility for the city's community.
