Bakiyev's supporters deny involvement in protest act in Osha.

BISHKEK, May 13 (Itar-Tass) - Neither Kurmanbek Bakiyev nor his
relatives have been involved in the developments in Osha and Jelalabad,
AKI Press quoted press service chief of the headquarters in support of
deposed president Kurmanbek Bakiyev Zhanara Moldokulova as saying Thursday.
The opponents of the new power in Kyrgyzstan seized the building of
the Osh regional administration on Thursday morning, demanding to
reinstate the former authorities of the region.
Around 1,500 supporters of deposed president Bakiyev have been
staying in the Jelalabad region, but they have nothing to do with the
developments in Osh, Moldokulova said. She claims Bakiyev has been calling
on them to stay calm and even asking them to go home, but despite that
they continue to support the former president, Moldokulova said.
Around 1,000 people have gathered near the building of the Jelalabad
regional administration, protesting against the now governor, Bektur
Asanov. The committee in support of Bakiyev has nothing to do with this
protest act either, Moldokulova stressed.
