S. Korea, China to set up consular offices in Dalian, Jeju

SEOUL, May 28 (Yonhap) -- South Korea agreed Friday to set up a consular office
in the eastern Chinese port city of Dalian, and China will set one up on South
Korea's Jeju Island, officials here said.
President Lee Myung-bak and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao reached the agreement in
their talks here, officials at Lee's office, Cheong Wa Dae, said. Jeju, South
Korea's resort island south of mainland, is popular among Chinese tourists.
The leaders also "exchanged opinions on major regional and international issues
including the North Korean nuclear program, South-North Korean relations, and
North Korea-China ties," Park Sun-kyoo, Cheong Wa Dae spokesman, told reporters.
