Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, MONTSAME/ The National Emergency and Management Agency has revealed that 1,342 disasters occurred in the first 5 months of 2010. Due to them 98 people died, 8.1 mln.livestock were lost in aimags and soums who experienced severe natural disaster zud.
By the types of disasters, there were 1,168 object fires, 19 heavy snow, sandstorms and 23 earthquakes of more than 3 magnitute. Estimated damage caused by the disasters amounted to 437.7 bln.tog.
