EXTERNAL TRADE TURNOVER REACHES USD 2,039.8 MILLION
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Mongolia traded with 120 countries from all over the world in the first 5 months this year. Total external trade turnover reached USD 2,039.8 million, of which export made USD 989.8 million, and import USD 1,050.0 million.
External trade balance in the first five months of 2010 showed a deficit of USD 60.2 million, decreased by USD 41.0 million or 40.6 per cent against the previous year.
In the first five months of 2010, total external trade turnover increased by USD 752.8 million or 58.5 per cent, of which exports by USD 396.9 million or 66.9 per cent, imports by USD 355.9 million or 51.3 per cent, respectively compared to the same period of the previous year.
Mineral products, natural or cultured stones, precious metals, jewelry and textiles and textile articles accounted for 92.4 per cent of the total export value amount.
