Yemen in talks with UN over Hajjah's IDPs

HAJJAH, June 14 (Saba)- Yemen held talks on Monday with the UN's mission on issues concerning with the Interlay Displaced Persons
(IDPs) situations in al-Mezraq camp and the possibility to carry out a mechanism to deliver food aid to those who have returned to their homes.

The talks, held by governor of Hajjah Ahmed Mujawar and the UN's delegation on
refugees headed by representative of World Food Program Santa Maria, dealt with the
local
and foreign efforts done to support IDPs in Hajjah's distracts.
Mujawar appreciated support of the program and relief organizations for the
displaced people, mentioning to the importance of continuing the assistance in
order to arrange
the return of those people to their homes.
He voiced readiness of the Local Authority to make the necessary arrangements to
ensure the mission's arrival to all the concerned areas.
He made reference that the Local Authority will cooperate with people and relief
organizations and enhance all services in al-Mezraq camp.
For her part, the UN official confirmed that this visit aims to evaluate the IDP's
situations after war and address the problems which hinder their return to their
areas.
