BEIJING, June 15 (Itar-Tass) -- China urges for the soonest
restoration of order and social stability in southern Kyrgyzstan, China's
Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said on Tuesday.
"The Chinese side is deeply concerned about the disorders in the south
of Kyrgyzstan and believes that the vital task is to restore order and
social stability in that region," he said.
"China has paid attention to the extraordinary meeting of the
Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) member countries'
secretaries to discuss the situation in Kyrgyzstan and understands the
efforts of the Organisation to protect peace and stability in Central
Asia," Qin Gang said.
In the meanwhile, he continued, the Chinese side has sent the first
part of its humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan.
"We sincerely hope that the people of Kyrgyzstan will be able to
overcome the present difficulties, that peace will be achieved there, and
the development will continue," he said.
