“We are one team” campaign

Karaganda, June 16, 2010 (Khabar) - In Karaganda, foster-children from orphanages and children with disabilities have been demonstrating their talents. The organizers have chosen the best among 200 young artists who took part in the final gala-concert of the “Scarlet Sails” musical contest.

Valeriy Li, festival organizer:
- Obviously, this is a special category of children, which has no possibility of performing publicly, and of course, they are a little bit remote from the rest of society.

Lena Sapunova is a soloist of the “Zhastar” dance group. The girl became an orphan early in life and recently she obtained a new family. Her new mother and father say they will help Lena to develop her artistic skills in the USA.

Yelena Sapunova, orphanage pupil:
- I am very glad that I got into this dance group, I really like it, everybody is very friendly there and always protect each other. Everything is OK here.

Laureates of the music marathon, about 20 young artists, received passes to a republican health camp. And the winners will be able to participate in the Kazakhstan “Tan Sholpan” contest.
