EMIRATES OFFERS DISCOUNTED PREPAID EXTRA BAGGAGE SERVICE ONLINE

DUBAI, July 1 (Bernama) -- Emirates Airline has launched a new discounted
prepaid additional baggage service on its website.

The discount represents a 15 per cent reduction on standard airport rates
and is only applicable to purchases on www.emirates.com.

"Now passengers with additional baggage can save money when they pay for
the extra weight in advance of their trip," Emirates' Senior Vice-President
for network passenger sales and development, Russell Sheldon, said in a
statement.

He said passengers were encouraged to weigh their suitcases and check the
website for details on costs of additional weight.

Purchases are non-refundable and non-transferrable, and must be made
between 24 hours and 90 minutes prior to flight departure.

Only adults and children qualify, not infants.

Only one online purchase of additional baggage per passenger per continuous
journey is permitted, said the Dubai-based airline.

Purchase is not available for departures from select cities.
