MAS MD TIGHT-LIPPED ON PROGRESS OF TALKS WITH AIRBUS ON A380 DELIVERY

PETALING JAYA (Malaysia), July 12 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Airlines (MAS)
remains tight-lipped on the progress of its discussions with Airbus on the delay
in the delivery of A380.

Its managing director/chief executive officer, Tengku Azmil Zahruddin, said
MAS was still in discussions with Airbus.

"Any answer I give will be purely speculative," he said after signing
agreements with HCL-Axon and SAP here Monday.

He, however, declined to elaborate.

Airbus was initially scheduled to start delivering MAS' A380s in January
2007 but the first delivery was postponed to January 2011 following delays in
the aircraft maker's programme and was again deferred to August 2011.

In the latest development, MAS is scheduled to receive the first A380 in the
second quarter of 2012.
