Ukrainian foreign minister arrives in China to discuss cooperation.

BEIJING, July 13 (Itar-Tass) -- Visiting Ukrainian Foreign Minister
Konstantin Grishchenko on Tuesday will meet with the Chinese leaders to
discuss prospects for cooperation between the two countries in a wide
range of areas.
During his three-day stay in China, the Ukrainian foreign minister
will meet with Premier of the State Council Wen Jiabao, Head of the
Chinese Parliament Wu Bangguo, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, and head of
the Communist Party Central Committee's international department Wang
Jiarui.
According to an Itar-Tass correspondent in Kiev, head of the Ukrainian
Foreign Ministry's information policy department Oleg Voloshin said on the
eve of Grischenko's visit that "the minister will be accompanied by
representatives from the country's biggest companies, including the
Antonov Aeronautical Scientific and Technical Complex." "The sides will
discuss possible cooperation in the aviation industry, in particular,
possible participation of the Chinese side in the implementation of the
project for the construction of a high-speed railway branch to link Kiev
and the Borispol airport," he said.
Grishchenko is expected to agree the date of Ukrainian President
Viktor Yanukovich's state visit to China initially planned for this
September.
Within the visit's framework, the Ukrainian foreign minister will
attend a meeting of the intergovernmental trade and economic and research
and technological cooperation commission.
The program of the visit also includes Grishchenko's trip to south
China's province of Guangdong, where he is expected to discuss issues of
cooperation with Ukrainian regions.
China will be the first stop in Grishchenko's current foreign tour. On
July 16 through 17, Grishchenko will visit Kazakhstan to attend an
informal OSCE ministerial meeting in Alma Ata. During this meeting,
Grishchenko will explore the ground of possible support by OSCE member
countries of Kiev's bid for OSCE chairmanship in 2013. On July 17 through
18, Grishchenko will proceed to Azerbaijan to discuss Caucasian security
issues, and prospects for joint energy projects.
