Motor race on the roads of war

Moscow, July 15, 2010 (Khabar) - Campaign in memory of heroes of World War II: Almaty non-commercial organizations organized motor race along Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus. Most part of the route, 12 000 km are already passed. The auto expedition participated in Day of Panfilov division near Volokolamsk.
The participants of the motor race reached Volokolamsk on the tenth day of the rally. One of the bloody battles took place near Dubosekovo passing-track in 1941 during Moscow defense. 316th infantry division of Panfilov became a legendary one. Descendant s of heroes and representatives of Kazakh diaspora gather here every year according to the initiative of daughter of commander of division, Ivan Panfilov. The auto expedition of «Zhalgas» organization and military historical club «Turkestanski Strelok» joined them this time.

Maiya Panfilova, daughter of commander of division, Ivan Panfilov:
- The division was multinational, it contained of 31 nationalities but there were most of all Kazakh people. Much connects us with Kazakhstan. And motor race is a great deed.

Day of Panfilov division is a date of its forming, the participants laid flowers to the common grave in memory of 28 heroes that defended Moscow. The youngest participant of the motor race is 4 years old.
The next stop will be in Pskov region and rally will end in Belarus where the participants will meet with colleagues from military patriotic clubs of Minsk. And then they will return to Kazakhstan on the same route.
