Nanotechnologies in construction

Ust-Kamenogorsk, July 15, 2010 (Khabar) - Constructors of Ust-Kamenogorsk are actively introducing nanotechnologies into the industry. The new paint «Tsemyanka» for facades has been developed by a local scientist. This paint is self-cleaning, never gets dull and becomes stronger with time.

Aleksei Bashkirtsev, inventor:
- It is possible to create a lot of different colours. This paint is durable and can hold up for about 10 or even 20 years.

The nanopaint changes its colour depending on temperature and the surface which is covered with it can be of different colours. Due to lime, which is an ingredient of this paint, it absorbs moisture from the façade and the air and that is why the surface always looks like new.

Lyudmila Shestukhina, chairman, Lease Holder’s Association:
- It seems that the house and its colour are breathing, like the breath of the house and your own is one unit.

Boris Ilyin, builder:
- Due to reactions at a molecular level, we are faced with the creation of a new material. On one hand, it helps to reduce costs and from the other, it increases the durability and quality of the material.

The scientist is constantly carrying out tests with his invention. One of the buildings was painted with this paint three years ago and it still looks fresh. Laboratory tests showed that its composition became stronger. The inventor believes that subject to this technology, the paint can serve forever. This paint helps to save three times as much money as the use of aqueous emulsions.
