South of Kyrgyzstan to be restored

Bishkek, July 15, 2010 (Khabar) - An agreement on the allocation of money for the restoration of the south of Kyrgyzstan has been signed in Bishkek. Financial and technical means will be allocated from the anti-crisis fund of the Eurasian Economic Community and the World Bank. A negotiation of the working groups lasted all day in Bishkek and experts presented the full picture of the tragic events so Kazakhstan’s delegation could be fully informed what amount of money is required for the restoration of the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan. Motorways, power mains and the construction of blocks of flats were all main topics on the agenda of the Bishkek meeting.

Omirzak Shukeyev, first deputy Kazakhstani Prime Minister:
- A new technical government has been appointed today. In this regard, the head of state asked for the creation of a special commission including representatives of the participating countries of the Eurasian Economic Community so they go to Bishkek to work on a multi-sided plan of stabilisation and an anti-crisis action plan. Today, we have developed some tangible aspects of this plan with our counter-parts and they are actually ready now. We are going to turn them into protocols of the two commissions and alongside the World Bank, we will be preparing for defending this plan before corresponding international financial organisations and the Eurasian fund. I think we will carry out additional work this month to summon a donor conference in order to collect some humanitarian aid for Kyrgyzstan.
