Release of 41 Yemeni fishermen held in Egypt and Eritrea

SANA'A, July 23 (Saba) -
Egyptian authorities have released 20 Yemeni fishermen held there since last month,
the almotamar.net
reported on Friday.
On the same context, 21 Yemeni fishermen arrived on Thursday at the port of
fishing, Hodeidah, who have been detained with 3 fishing boats while in
international waters
during the few past days, the almotamar.net added.
According to the embassy of Yemen to Egypt, the Egyptian authorities released
Wednesday 20 Yemeni fishermen, who were seized last month during their presence in
the areas
of international waters located between Sudan and Saudi Arabia.
The Interior Ministry said it had asked the Foreign Ministry to discuss the
repeated piracy by the Eritrean authorities on the Yemeni fishing boats and to
develop solutions
to the problem through diplomatic channels with the Eritrean side ,so as to put an
end to attacks on the Yemeni fishing boats.
