SOUTH SULAWESI OFFERS SENDING SKILLED WORKERS TO S ARABIA

Makassar, S Sulawesi, Indonesia, July 23 (ANTARA) - The Saudi government through its embassy in Jakarta has welcomed South Sulawesi's offer to send professional workers, particularly nurses and other skilled people, to the Middle Eastern country, South Sulawesi Governor Yasin Limpo said.

The governor said here on Friday he had discussed the mattter of sending workers to Saudi Arabia with the Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia in Jakarta on Thursday.

"They welcome our offer to send professionals and we are doing our best to prepare the form of cooperation in this field. There will be a signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between me and the ambassador. I will meet the invitation of the Saudi government on Thursday next week," the governor said.

It was reported earlier that Yasin Limpo held a meeting with the Saudi ambassador to discuss cooperation on manpower, export of goods, hajj pilgrimage quota, education and investment.
