Aid for Kyrgyz children

Taraz, July 29, 2010 (Khabar) - Children from Kyrgyzstan have come to Kazakhstan to gain strength and good spirits before the new academic year. 50 children from the neighbouring republic obtained a chance to spend their holiday and improve their health at a children’s heath complex called “Tau Samaly” in the Zhambyl region. This campaign is one of many organized by Kazakhstan as part of humanitarian aid for the neighbour nation.
There are both Kyrgyz and Uzbek children in the group from Osh and Jalal-Abad regions of Kyrgyzstan and they don’t have any disagreement between them. On the contrary, they make the friendliest and most united group, according to camp counselors. The guests enjoy special treatment at the camp. Experienced teachers are currently working with them as each of them needs psychological aid as well.

Askar Telebayev, deputy director, Tau Samaly children’s sanitarium:
- The President of Kazakhstan, who gave a helping hand to our brotherly nation, was the one to initiate this program. And it’s truly a good cause to help children from the violence-stricken areas. Our children received them very warmly and the meeting was organized very well. The children are going through a period of adaptation now. Everything is alright, they fit perfectly into the group, they like everything and spending their time in our complex is a truly fun and unforgettable experience for them.

The children learn history, local history and environmental protection at the “Tau Samal” complex. However, the children mostly like mountain hiking classes. Experienced instructors teach them to develop an eye for the ground, make fire and do other tricks. Fun competitions are also held in the evenings.
Kazakhstan, the current chairman of the OSCE, is rendering every support to the neighbouring nation and, according to the children, other Kyrgyz children can only dream of such a holiday at the “Tau Samaly” camp.
