BAKU-ISTANBUL FLIGHT OVERSHOOTS ATATURK AIRPORT RUNWAY
Baku, August 12 (AzerTAc). An aircraft carrying passengers from Baku has come off the runway at international Ataturk airport in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Azerbaijan Airlines`s Airbus 319 with 199 people onboard overshot the runway at 11.00 local time.
According to Maharram Safarli, an assistant to the president of the Azerbaijan Airlines, the reason of the incident is not yet clear.
He added a full investigation into the incident was being carried out.
