S. Korean auto parts maker wins 210 bln won order from BMW

SEOUL, Sept. 5 (Yonhap) -- Mando Corp., a South Korean auto parts maker, said
Sunday that it has won a 210 billion won (US$178 million) order to supply auto
parts to BMW of Germany.
Under the deal, Mando will provide BMW a brake system from 2013, it said.
The South Korean company said it plans to seek more orders from other European
carmakers.
Last year, Mando, which supplies auto parts to the U.S. automakers Ford Motor Co.
and General Motors Co., won a deal from French automaker Renault SA to provide
suspension systems.
Mando, the country's leading auto parts maker, is also the biggest parts supplier
to fast growing local vehicle makers Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Motors Corp. of
South Korea.
