New wildfires from Kazakhstan threaten Russia's Altai - EMERCOM.

BARNAUL, September 13 (Itar-Tass) -- Another wave of wildfires is
approaching Russia's Altai Territory from Kazakhstan, the local branch of
EMERCOM said on Monday.
A major wildfire is 20 kilometres away from the border with Russia,
the ministry said.
"The flow of about ten kilometers long moves towards Malinovoye Ozero
Village in the Mikhailovskoye district," the official said.
Russia's firefighters have got permission from Kazakhstan to cross the
border line. The bordering territories forward 23 firefighters and
tractors to plough the territories where the fire is moving. Specialised
fire extinguishing vehicles go towards the border. Two fire trains are
expected to arrive in the village.
The wildfires, which came to the Altai Territory from Kazakhstan on
September 8, burned down about 10,000 hectares of the forest. In
Nikolayevka Village 237 houses were burned down, and four more houses - in
Bastan Village.
