FM heads for Washington

SANA'A, Sep. 20 (Saba)- Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al Qirbi
headed on Monday for Washington, DC, to take part in the 65th ordinary session of
the United
Nations General Assembly that starts on September 22.
Upon departure, al Qirbi said he will highlight when delivering Yemen's speech
efforts of the Yemeni government in boosting security, stability and economic
development
as well as fighting terrorism.
Al-Qirbi will also review the Yemeni viewpoint towards different international and
regional issues toped by the situations in Iraq, Somalia and Sudan as well as UN
reforms.
On the margins of the session, al Qirbi will meet with Foreign Ministers of the
Gulf Cooperation Council and will attend the meetings of the Arab Working Group,
the Organization
of the Islamic Conference and Non-Aligned Countries.
He will also chair the ministerial meeting of the G77 plus China that will focus on
climate change issues and will head the Yemeni delegation to Friends of Yemen Group
Meeting.
