Health Minister to attend annual meeting of CGI

SANA'A, Sep. 19 (Saba) - Public
Health and Population Minister Abdul Karim Rasa'a flew to the United States of
America on Sunday
for the annual meeting of Clinton Global Initiative CGI.
The meeting will take place on 21-23 September in New York and will be attended by
1200 heads of state, company directors and, non-profit organizations.
It will discuss issues including those related to establishing and implementing
solutions to the world issues.
The best strategies for bringing solutions based on market mechanisms to expand
their extent with the aim to serve the poor and discussion of the best techniques
for handling
issues in areas such as healthcare, education and economic development as well as
spreading them to a larger extent will top the agenda, Rasa'a said.
Moreover, the meeting will focus on ways to create jobs in various industries, set
out strategies to connect people to job opportunities and how to find opportunities
for
all through helping women and girls with the aim to achieve equality of education,
healthcare and economic opportunities, he said.
Rasa'a will also attend the meetings of the UN General Assembly in New York that
will discuss progress made on achieving the millennium goals.
