SNACC refers 60 officials to public prosecution

SANA'A, Sep.20 (Saba)-The Supreme
National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC) approved on Monday referring 60
officials
from different government bodies to the Public Prosecution.
The 60 people are among those officials who failed to present their financial
disclosures to SNACC according to the law, as the first batch that includes 500
officials.
The referred to the Public Prosecution included two ambassadors, chief of general
body, two undersecretaries of ministries, assistant undersecretary, undersecretary
of central
body, and a number of directors-general in the government's departments, the State's
central bodies and the local authorities in the provinces.
In its meeting, the SNACC also approved the publication of names of the people
referred to the prosecution in the official newspapers and sending letters to
Ministers, governors
and heads of agencies, institutions, banks, and companies of public and mixed
sectors to send their representatives to the Authority to review the lists of the
rest officials
,who did not present their financial disclosures ,as a prelude to refer them to the
prosecution.
Furthermore, the SNACC discussed a number of corruption cases being investigated by
the Authority.
