BALINALE FILM FESTIVAL TO BE HELD IN OCTOBER



Denpasar, Bali, Sept 23 (ANTARA) - Balinale International Film Festival will be organized on Bali Island from October 12 to 17, 2010, for the fourth time.

The festival initiated by Indonesian actress Christine Hakim and Deborah Gabinetti, will screen several film categories, including "Eat Pray Love" stared by Julia Roberts and filmed among other things in Bali, information from the organizing committee said here Thursday.

Sony Pictures' "Eat Pray Love" was directed by Ryan Murphy and produced by Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner (Plan B Entertainment).

"Eat Pray Love" first will be screened in Jakarta on October 4, and later in the opening of Balinale International Film Festival on October 12, according to Christine Hakim.

Indonesian films to be shown in the festival will include Riri Riza's "Sang Pemimpi" (The Dreamer), Robbie Ertanto Soediskam's "7 Hati, 7 Cinta, 7 Wanita" (Seven Hearts, Seven Loves and Seven Women), and Awi Suryadi's "I Know What You Did On Facebook".

Australia's films will be screened in the festival will be among other things Rachel Perkins's "Bran Nue Dae", and David Michod's "Animal Kingdom".

In the festival, audience will also be able to watch
Chang-Dong Lee's "Poetry" (South Korea), Chelsie Preston-Crayford's "Home By Christmas", "Ocean Heaven" stared by Jet Li (Hong Kong), "A Good Day To Die" of the US, and Thomas Balmes' "Babies" of France.
