The UAE Trade '&' Commercial Office in Washington DC hosts EO delegation

Washington DC - The UAE Trade '&' Commercial Office in Washington DC hosted delegates to the Entrepreneurs' Organisations (EO) Global Policy Summit in cooperation with the Bilateral US-Arab Chamber of Commerce in a dinner reception.
The event was intended to highlight the emphasis the UAE places on entrepreneurship and SME development as an important element of its overall economic growth strategy.
In his remarks to the group, the UAE Commercial Counsellor in the United States, Saud Al Nowais said: "Today with a liberal and rapidly diversifying economy, the removal of trade barriers, a business-friendly regulatory infrastructure as well as free zones and other mechanisms that allow 100 per cent foreign ownership, our robust economy has flourished into one of the most business friendly in the world.
On a domestic level the UAE is committed to fostering an environment that encourages private sector growth and jobs as well as competitiveness and choice for the consumer. We have several organisations that are mandated with supporting entrepreneurs enter the market with attractive credit lines and assistance with registering businesses. Organisations like the Khalifa Fund for Entrepreneurship and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Establishment for SME Development highlight the great faith that our leadership has in the role of entrepreneurs", he added.
The EO members were led by Benjamin Richter the President of EO and the Bilateral US-Arab Chamber of Commerce was represented by David Phillips the Chairman of the Board and Aida Araissi the Founder and Managing Director. Al Nowais expressed his hope to see UAE-US trade extend to small and medium size enterprises to complement the existing relationship between large corporations in both countries. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
