MSSA INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION NEXT WEEK
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Structural Steel Association
(MSSA) International Convention 2010 will be held at Putra World Trade Centre,
here, on Nov 2.
The biennial event to be held for the sixth time, will see the participation of
about 250 industry players, academics and experts from the world’s steel
industry.
"The convention will bring together top speakers with various areas of expertise
in the industry as well as academic and research, to share their experience in
managing sustainability for complex and mega projects.
"This is a very timely occasion in view of the Economic Transformation Programme
promoted by the government as we gear up towards the last phase of Vision 2020
in order to be a high income nation through sustainable practices," said MMSA
Deputy President Ir Stephen Tam in a statement Monday.
The convention is co-sponsored by Megasteel Sdn Bhd and PFC Engineering Sdn Bhd.
Among the highlights is a presentation by the principal of Colling-IPS of the UK, Andrew Colling, who will share his experience in the construction of the London 2012 Olympics Stadium.
