‘Terrorism, drug smuggling, money laundering form ECO main concerns’
TEHRAN, Nov. 2 (MNA) – Terrorism, human trafficking, drug smuggling and money laundering are the most important concerns of ECO member countries, Ali Abdollahi of the Interior Ministry said on Monday.
Speaking on the sidelines of a conference of senior experts of ECO members, Abdollahi said since the regional nations and ECO members have similar security concerns, the conference is aimed to discuss ways to strengthen security in these countries.
He also said the three previous meetings on security issues including meetings of border police chiefs and antidrug police are going to be reviewed in the current conference.
The proposal for the establishment of a data bank is also reviewed during the conference.
