175 int’l media participated at Iran’s Press Exhibition
Press Deputy of Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said here Monday 175 foreign media, and 250 foreign guests from 55 countries participated at 17th Press and News Agencies’ Exhibition and Festival.
According to IRNA Social Desk reporter, Mohammad Ali Ramin who was speaking Monday evening at the closing ceremony of the 17th Press and News Agencies Exhibition and Festival held at Tehran’s Vahdat Concert Hall, further pointed out, “This year’s Press and News Agencies Exhibition was designed under the influence of the president’s provincial tours, by placing the provincial press at our top priority status, flowed by the scientific and expert level press and then the seminaries and universities’ publications.”
Ramin added, “At the 17th exhibition there were also various types of meetings at three different halls.”
They deputy guidance minister pointed out that his year’s exhibition was a chance for the provincial press officials to get in tough with the capital city’s media people, emphasizing, “The press exhibition was a jubilant media week and we hope our country’s media would manage to end to west’s media monopoly.”
According to IRNA, the closing ceremony of the 17th Press and News Agencies Exhibition and Festival was held in the presence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the managers of the top media and press of the country were praised and awarded during the ceremony.
