INSURANCE SECTOR IN STATISTICS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ According to the report of the State Social Insurance General Office, 576.0 thousand persons were registered as insurer at the end of 2010. Of them, 356.7 thousand or 61.9 per cent were registered from the establishments, and 219.2 thousand or 38.1 percent from the public administration institutions.
Total amount of pensions allocated from the social insurance fund reached MNT 360.5 billion in 2010, out of which retirement pension accounted for 73.6 per cent, pension for the disabled 12.6 per cent, breadwinner loss pension 7.1 per cent, and military pension 6.7 per cent.
In 2010, social welfare pensions and benefits were allocated for 56.7 thousand people increasing 1.0 thousand people or 1.8 per cent, a total amount of the fund allocated increased MNT 2.8 billion or 11.2 per cent against the previous year.
In 2010, along with the decision to allocate MNT 120.0 thousand to every citizen from the Human development fund, a total of MNT 276.0 billion were distributed to 2.6 million people.
