KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 (Bernama) -- More Malaysians are looking to buy properties online due to the easy access to Internet services, said iProperty.com Group chief executive officer, Shaun di Gregorio.
Di Gregorio said iProperty.com Malaysia traffic hit an all-time high of 750,000 in January.
"Consumers preferred to go online to search for properties as it is convenient and easy," di Gregorio told Bernama in an interview Friday.
He said the company was optimistic about this year as it believed more consumers and agents would choose its website.
iProperty.com Group provides online advertising, agency software, magazine advertising and events to real estate agents in key Asian markets and these products are primarily marketed under the iProperty.com umbrella brand.
It operates in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore and its primary focus is on the rapid growth of its online advertising businesses in its three core markets of Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore where it has leadership positions.
Di Gregorio said the company's website presented contents in such a way that were attractive to consumers and easier for them to use its services to find information.
He said the company would continue to upgrade its website by providing the information needed by its consumers in order to achieve better growth.
"Our aim is to give consumers the maximum exposure and experience when they surf our website. We will also continue to think of ways to improve consumer experiences and provide the right services," he said.
He said the company would always be on the lookout for opportunities.
Recently, it acquired the second largest property portal,
thinkproperty.com.my.
