Yemen oil exports not affected by pipeline attack

LONDON, March 25 (Saba)- Yemen's oil exports would not be affected by an attack that shut down a pipeline carrying crude
from the country's western fields, a Calvalley Petroleum Inc. official has said in a statement.
The attack forced the shutdown of the pipeline, which ships 50,000-70,000 barrels a day to the port city of Ras Isa on the Red Sea, Calvalley Petroleum Inc. (CVI.A.T) President
Memet Kont said .
The pipeline carried Marib Light, a type of oil used by the Aden Refinery, which produces fuel entirely for domestic consumption, the official added.
Yemen exports Masila Blend, which is produced in the calmer east of the country, Kont said. Yemen had told foreign buyers it would export about 130,000 barrels a day of
Masila oil in May, according to a statement earlier this month.
