Road accidents in Yemen claim 18 lives last week

SANA'A, April 02 (Saba) - Road accidents has claimed the lives of around 18 people throughout the country during the last
week, Interior Ministry said on Saturday.
According to a report issued by the Public Traffic Department in the ministry, about 124 road accidents have been registered last week causing also nearly 145 injuries,
87 of them are seriously.
The accidents distributed to 66 crash accidents, 46 running over, 9 vehicles' overturn and 3 falling accidents. The reported material losses reached roughly YR 13.8 million.
The capital Sana'a has ranked first among the provinces in terms of accident's numbers with 49 accidents and Taiz province with 22.
While 12 accidents have been reported in Hodeidah province placed in the third position.
The reasons behind the accidents were over speed, neglect, technical faults and others, according to the report.
