Yemen, donors discuss development of endowments programs

SANA'A, April 02 (Saba) - An expanded talk session was held here on Saturday gathered Ministry of Endowments and Guidance,
donors and local partners.
The talks, chaired by Caretaker Minister of Endowments and Guidance Hamoud Ubad, dealt with aspects of support and joint coordination to develop mechanisms and programs
of the Ministry.
The attendants discussed the Ministry's executive plan for 2011, which includes awareness-raising activities on various issues of community and population.
The plan also includes training 1550 preachers and girl guides from different provinces in the fields of girl education and reproductive health, establishment of specializing
units in areas of women, child, reproductive health, family planning and the fight against infectious and sexually-transmitted diseases.
The ministry's plan aims to activate the role of preachers and guides in population issues and combating terrorism and religious extremism and renouncing violence and fanaticism.
Ubad noted the importance of coordination and partnership with the donors, stressing the need to hold a workshop with all local and international partners to discuss aspects
of cooperation so as to contribute to activate activities of awareness-raising.
