Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Korea International Cooperation Agency of the Republic of Korea has decided to tackle a fresh water supply matter for a new apartment micro district to be erected in the "Chingis Khaan" international airport in frames of the "100 thousand apartments" governmental program. A protocol on implementing the project was signed Monday by Ch.Bat, a general manager of Ulaanbaatar city, and Park Dae-won, president of the KOICA.
Before signing the protocol, the South Korea's government has decided to tackle the matter in frames of the Program on Meteorology Partnership of East Asia for the fresh water supply of the new micro district. In conjunction with it, the South Korea's government has decided to render a non-refundable aid of USD 22.6 million. The sides have signed a related memorandum of mutual understanding during an official visit of the Mongolia's Premier paid to the South Korea.
In a scope of the project to be implemented in 2011-2013, works will be done to construct a small hydroelectric power station in "Yaarmag" place, to install a water supply system using solar renewable energy, to work out a master plan on drinking water, and to provide families with water-meters.
