Foreign Minister receives Hungarian Economic Minister
VIENTIANE,APRIL 5 .(KPL) - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongloun Sisoulith yesterday received at his office in Vientiane Deputy Minister of National Economy of Hungary, Mr. Balazs Botos.
The Hungarian National Economic Minister is on his working visit in the Lao PDR between April 4 and 6.
The Lao Foreign Minister highly valued the visit to Laos of Mr. Balazs as a significant contribution to enhancing the friendship relations and cooperation between the Lao PDR and the Republic of Hungary as well as a provision of assistance by the Hungarian government for the socio-economic development in the Lao PDR.
On the same day, both sides signed an agreement on non-interest loan amounting USD 40 million of the Hungarian government for the development in agricultural sector in the Lao PDR.
The Lao Foreign Minister appreciated the Government of Hungary’s Presidency of ASEM for 2011 and hoped that the Republic of Hungary would be successful in hosting the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in Budapest in June this year.
