Three earthquakes shake NE coast of Honshu isle

VLADIVOSTOK, April 6 (Itar-Tass) - Three earthquakes with magnitudes
of 5.0, 5.2, and 4.9 occurred off the north-eastern coast of Japan's
Honshu Island on Wednesday morning, the Geophysical Service of the Russian
Academy of Sciences announced.
The epicenters of the earth jolts were in the Pacific at a distance of
80 to 300 km from the coast. The foci of the quakes were at a depth of 33
km. There has been no word about the aftermath of the tremors.
Seismic activity off the northeastern coast of Honshu has been goiing
on unabated since March 11 when a devastating earthquake with a magnitude
of 9.0 rocked the area. A ten-metres-high tsunami oceanic wave ensued.
According to Japanese sources, the tsunami wave desroyed about
150,000 houses, with more than 12,000 people falling victim to the
calamity. Over 15,000 people are still reckoned missing
